Competing hard, fighting game after game, creating bonds with teammates, and working hard on the field, both Men and Women’s Soccer take home the season title—another win for the Women’s program and the first for the Men’s since 2010.

With the start of non-conference games, the Men’s soccer team started with a record of 3-1-1. They had lost a game to Taylor and tied with Trinity Christian. With those rocky games out of the way, they continued out the rest of the season on a 6-1 record. They took a tough loss to Madonna, but ran away with the rest of the conference games, beating Goshen 6-0 and Rochester 6-1.  To end their season they tied with both Lourdes and Lawrence Tech but won three more games including the match-up against Indiana Tech 3-1 and secured their season title. They ended the postseason with a conference 8-1-2 record and are already making a run in the WHAC playoffs winning their first game against Siena Heights 4-1.

The Women’s season was also an exciting one to keep up with this year! The women’s team started this year with a tie game, against (14) Indiana Wesleyan, but after that, they stomped the next facing competition. They went on a winning streak of 9 before they faced UNOH and ended the game in another tie. This set a team record of 9-0-2, however,  carrying out, they won the next 5 out of 6 games. This included another conference-tied game against Siena Heights, but also a good 4-0 victory against Indiana Tech. Along with this season, there were only 2 goals scored against this strong attacking and powerful defensive team, making almost every game a shutout. They also won their season title again this year alongside of Siena Heights who snuck in a tied record with us due to the lucky tie against us.

Along with that, multiple of the Men and Women’s players received the honor of WHAC Player of the Week.

Offensive Players of the Week: Ricardo Rittersberger, Sydney Shenk and Maeva Lichtensteiger.

Defensive Players of the Week: Joshua Clemitson, Kayla Shuk, Olivia Bowling, and Ingrid Hentemann.
