Every month the Moose creates a new selection of drinks that align the season of that month. These drinks are curated by the Moose employees through a voting system and then ordered by students.

This semester alone there have been some very popular drinks including the Stars Hollow and the Harvest Chaider. All of which have been created by the Moose’s employees. Every month Alyssa Hoff, the Moose’s manager, sends out a form to the employees where they invent drinks for three different sections: a caffeinated drink, a blended drink, and a wild card. The most recent example of a wild card drink would be the Beetlejuice Boba.

Originally the drinks were curated by the three student managers when they first started doing the monthly specials. Although, once all the students left and Aquinas stopped having student managers run the Moose, Hoff decided to turn things over to the student employees. Now they have monthly voting on every drink created while having some fun competition.

“I feel like it’s good that people can come up with different drinks, it’s fun and I really like being able to vote on the drinks too,” said Lana Cunill.

One of the most difficult parts for Hoff is  getting all the special ingredients. “The boba was particularly difficult to get a hold of because of the shipping difficulties,” she said.

“I love that they have seasonal drinks,” said sophomore Kerrigan Smedley. “They’re actually quite helpful because they never change the drinks that are on the set menu. And it gives me an opportunity to try new things and especially if I like them, sometimes they come back.”

This month’s drinks include the Campfire Chai, the Harvest Chaider, the Frosty Pumpkin Frappe, although next month’s drinks are just around the corner.
