With the meeting beginning at 12:01, of immediate concern for the Senate was a discussion regarding campus safety ticketing students more frequently. The Senate reminded both their fellow Senators and students to park only in their correct, assigned lots.

Discussed after this was the Senate’s special order of business. Chair Fiona Walsh went over information in regards to the 2025-26 executive board elections. Voting for the chair, vice chair, and secretary is voted in by the student body. The voting period for these positions is from April 3 to April 16. The budget director and academic affairs director will be decided by the three other e-board members who are voted in.

With these two topics settled, the Senate moved into their executive board and advisor reports. Chair Fiona Walsh invited the Senators to attend a scholarship lunch on April the ninth. After discussions with the President, Fiona informed the Senate body that the e-board will now be allowed to attend the State of the College. Vice Chair Gabe Hay informed the body he will continue to post Senate bios on social media. Secretary Natalia Hay informed the body of some minor planning difficulties in regards to their Spring Forum. She also notified the Senate body that the Senators will be volunteering in Aquinas’ community garden through the seventh to the sixteenth of April.

Budget Director Lucas Baker is finalizing the 2025 budget request form for RSOs. He also sent the Senators an ACES awards form, to give the e-board ideas of awards to give away at the end of the year. Finally, he presented to the body the drafted version of his “Day in the Life of the President” with President Córdoba to his fellow Senators. The Academic Affairs Director briefly detailed to the body the recent Board of Trustees meeting. With the majority of information being too sensitive to discuss, this update was brief. Advisor Brigid Avery reminded the body of their Casino Night which was held on March 21. After a brief brainstorming session on what ACES awards the Senate would like to give out, the meeting was adjourned at 12:42.
