May 1 Senate Minutes

On the first of May, the Aquinas Student Senate held their final meeting of the year. Being called to order at 12:06, the meeting began with Chair Walsh giving out a thank you to all of the senators. With this, a brief intermission was held to allow the senators to grab celebratory pizza.
With the pizza eaten, the Senate began their inductions of their 2025/2026 executive board. Grant Bricking was inducted as the new Chair, Kate Kramm was inducted as the Vice Chair, Michaela Faith was inducted as Secretary, Lucas Baker was reinducted as Budget Director, and Taylor Moss was inducted as Academic Affairs Director. Transitioning to Executive Board reports, all of the new members thanked their fellow senators, and discussed their excitement for next year.
With inductions handled, the Senate moved to their Senator of the Year and paper plate awards, where each senator is honored and awarded for their hard work throughout the year. This year’s General Senator Award was awarded to Robin Long. With the awards ceremony coming to a close, the meeting was adjourned at an early 12:48. Before leaving, everyone on Senate took the time to thank all of the senators who diligently served the Aquinas community during the 2024/2025 academic year.
