Ta-da! Victini’s here! From an early event in Black and White to a fiery meteorite that’s… COMING RIGHT AT US! DUUUUCCKKKK!  Uh, I mean, Victini (#494) has arrived.

Welcome back, fellow Saints, to my year-long coverage of the twentieth anniversary of Pokèmon. This month, as I previously mentioned, the downloadable Pokèmon of the month is the Pokèmon of VICTORY!

Of course, the internet is not the only place where you can find this eccentric V-wheeeeeel Specialist (Please tell me I am not the only person who gets that reference). Anyway, according to the Pokèmon website, the Psychic Fire superstar can also be found in the fourteenth movie on other Pokèmon websites, app stores, or Amazon. Also, look for an adorable eight foot plush creature at Toys “R” Us as well as a small figurine this month.

What’s that, Victini? You want me to what? Well, okay. Folks, I am being contacted by the devilishly handsome Victory Pokemon via telepath because it wants me to tell you a little more about the V-wheeeeeel expert. First, let’s start off with the fact that this little critter is the first and so far only Pokèmon to be listed as #000 in its respective region’s Pokèdex. It is also the only Pokèmon to appear ahead of the starter Pokèmon and the only starter to not be at the end of the regional Pokèdex. In the beginning days of Black and White, you could download Victini for an early legendary. It even does a little dance if you take it to Liberty Garden in Black 2/White 2 Version. The rabbit-like Pokèmon of victory  also makes appearances in Smash Brothers as an assist Pokèball and trophy as well as in Pokkèn as an assist Pokemon.

Well, anyway, thank you for your time, Victini. I will make sure to look for you this month before September 24. In the meantime, here are a few more updates. For the sake of time, I will not summarize the summer and instead look to the future. First, Sun and Moon are set to release on November 18, and can be pre-ordered at various gaming shops.

I also have confirmation that a local Play N Trade will be hosting a midnight release for the Generation 7 games. Those who buy the games before January 11 of next year will also be eligible to download Munchlax from the internet, a good way to get Snorlax and its anticipated Z-move ‘Pulverizing Pancake.’ Speaking of upcoming Pokèmon, we have also seen the latest Alola Forme, Rattata, which is now Dark/Normal. This is because while they were avoiding the herd of Yungoos that were released to control the Rattata infestation problem, they adapted to new environments. There will also be Pikachu at Build-A-Bear for a limited time, so make sure you pick yours up.

Aside from the Regi-Pokemon Bank special (which is good until next month), I believe that covers all the news for the month. Thank you for reading, and look for next month’s issue about the next Pokemon of the month. Same Zubat time, same Zubat channel.
